Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) Phase II Competition Proposal, Shenzhen / China, 2019
Hong Kong Çin Üniversitesi (Shenzhen) Faz II Şematik Tasarım ve Mimari Tasarım Geliştirme Önerisi
Yarışma için rggA, ana kavramsal yaklaşım olarak kampüsün “yayılan alanları” olacak "Habitat Köprüleri"ni önerdi.
Önerilen habitat köprüleri, kampüsü yeni bir şekilde algılamak isteyen öğrencilere ve ziyaretçilere yeni bir yaşam ve kamusal alan sağlayacak şekilde tasarlanmıştır. Sadece öğrenciler için değil aynı zamanda ziyaretçiler için de canlı ve dinamik bir alan olarak tasarlanan köprüler aynı zamanda bol miktarda yemyeşil bitki örtüsüne, çeşitli yerel bitki türlerine, kentsel tesislere, bisiklet ve yürüyüş yollarına ev sahipliği yapacak şekilde planlanmıştır. Bu köprülerin temel amacı, kampüsün tamamını, minimumda yer kaplayan yeni bir yapı tipi ile harekete geçirmek ve kampüs içindeki dolaşım sirkülasyonunu yukarı taşımaktır. Bu köprüler sayesinde öğrenciler ve yeni ziyaretçilerin kampüsü, kampüsü statik bir fiziksel uygulamadan ziyade, farklı bir mimari sahip dönüştürücü gücü ile yeni bir boyutta ve yaşanabilir bir şekilde algılayabilmelerini sağlamaktır. Habitat Köprüleri kampüsün yaşayan organizmaları olarak planlanmıştır.
Yarışma, Shenzhen Belediyesi Bayındırlık İşleri Bürosu Mühendislik Tasarım Yönetim Merkezi, Hong Kong Çin Üniversitesi (Shenzhen) tarafından açıldı ve 2019 yılında Shenzhen Position Mekansal Kültür Geliştirme Ltd. Şti. Tarafından organize edildi.

Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) Phase II Schematic Design and Architectural Design Development Proposal
For the competition rggA proposed Habitat Bridges that will be “propagating spaces” of the campus as the main conceptual approach.
The proposed habitat bridges were designed accommodate a new life and public space to students and visitors for whom want to perceive the campus in a new way. Designed as a vivid and dynamic space for not only students but also for visitors, the bridges would also house a plenty of lush vegetation, various kinds of local plants, urban fixtures, bicycle and walking pathways. The main aim of these bridges is to activate the whole campus with new type of structure that provides a minimum footprint and lift up for the circulation to the upper level within the campus. Thanks to these bridges, students and new visitors will be able to perceive the campus in a new dimension and liveable way, as well as its tranformative force with an unfamiliar aesthetic rather than a static physical implementations to the campus. The habitat bridges were planned to be living organisms of the campus.
The competition was opened by Engineering Design Management Center of Bureau of Public Works of Shenzhen Municipality, Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) and organized by Shenzhen Position Spatial Culture Development Co., Ltd. in 2019. rggA participated in the competition as a tender.
