Gamador Silüet
Ankara / Türkiye, 2024

Gamador Siluet brings together residential and public functions in a holistic settlement design within a horizontal and vertical block organisation, with 261 different types of 2+1 residential units and 4,230 m² of commercial space. The building masses in the project are planned in an orthogonal arrangement and defined by a repeating modular grid system in the façade language. This modular approach enhances the legibility of the structures at scale while ensuring sustainability and flexibility in production and implementation processes.

Commercial units along the ground floor of the horizontal block are integrated into urban life, while open and semi-open social spaces for residential units are created on upper floors, layering the building programme. The vertical block rises as a vertical emphasis defining the silhouette; it gains volumetric movement through balcony projections, façade voids, and rhythmic window arrangements. The spaces left between the blocks allow the area to receive natural light and provide breathing space between the buildings.

In residential planning, each unit is oriented to optimally benefit from natural light and ventilation. Flexibility has been prioritised in the plan solutions, with some units designed to be convertible into 3+1 layouts. Shared common areas form an integrated open-space design alongside landscape elements that define user circulation. This landscape acts as a buffer zone between residential areas and commercial functions by providing permeability between building groups.

Gamador Siluet presents a clear architectural language with its simple geometry at the urban scale; it offers a flexible, feasible, and contemporary architectural proposal through a modular system approach. The arrangement of building masses is planned in an organisation where residential and commercial functions are separated but can establish a connection within spatial continuity.

The shared open spaces on the ground floor serve as social interaction and relaxation areas for residential users, while the landscape elements associated with the building mass soften this transition and create a user-oriented spatial solution.
