Gamador Sky
Ankara / Türkiye, 2023
Gamador Sky is a compact and powerful residential block proposal that blends into the urban fabric. With a layout that makes efficient use of the plot boundaries and vertically optimised living units, it provides a rational response to urban density. The project caters to diverse user profiles with 136 2+1 residential units and 1,000 m² of commercial space, offering a multi-layered living experience both architecturally and socially.
The mass is defined by a simple and geometric language; the facade design balances the vertical impact with rhythmic window arrangements, balcony projections, and large glass surfaces. This architectural language transforms the block height into an aesthetic element while making a strong contribution to the city skyline. At the same time, the relationship with the human scale is softened, making the structure harmonious with its surroundings.

The horizontal and vertical movements used on the façade increase the readability of the modulation, while the wide openings provide natural light to the interior. The balcony voids function as interfaces in terms of privacy, light control and climatic comfort.
Apartment layouts are designed according to block depth and orientation criteria, with priority given to ensuring that each unit receives daylight and natural air circulation. Thanks to the functional layout design, comfort, accessibility, and spatial efficiency are achieved even in compact apartment typologies.

The commercial units located at ground level keep public circulation lively, while the separation between residential and public areas is clarified through architectural and landscape elements. The green terrace located above this separation serves as a defined semi-public open space for building users. This social space on the upper level is designed as an architectural element that establishes a visual connection with the city, provides breathing space for the building, and supports interaction among users.
Gamador Sky is a contemporary living proposal that balances both vertical density and social sustainability within a compact block layout, while showcasing a distinctive architectural language within the city.
